New theoretical discourses on youth migration: a review of approaches

Abstract

In the 21st century, the scale of international youth migration is constantly growing, and this process is becoming a typical phenomenon of the socio-economic life of the modern world.

The goal of the work is to form a relevant theoretical and methodological analysis of the process in the context of social processes of our time.

The scientific and practical significance of the work: the conclusions can serve as a theoretical basis for further research in the field of studying the migration attitudes of young people.

Current scientific approaches of transnationalism and the “mobility” paradigm were chosen as the methodological basis for the analysis.

Conclusions: New theoretical approaches require taking into account the social, cultural, and economic connections of young migrants.

The work makes an important contribution to relevant analytical understanding of the process of international youth migration from different disciplinary perspectives and methodological tools.

The practical significance of the results of the work: the analysis allows us to formulate a conceptual framework for an effective framework for youth migration policy in the country.
